In 2023, the WPC charging standard was upgraded, introducing the MPP protocol based on Apple's MagSafe magnetic charging technology. This marked the advent of Qi 2.0 era for wireless charging. Compared to BPP and EPP, MPP features the addition of a magnetic ring for precise alignment, resulting in faster charging speeds, higher efficiency, and greater convenience.

The MagSafe wireless charging MPP module integrating Maxic’s MT5805 has qualified the 15W charging level of Qi 2.0 certification (ID: 14851).

Qi 2.0 standard is designed to enhance the wireless charging user experience while reinforcing charging safety and compatibility standards, laying the foundation for future enhancements. WPC standardizes and integrates authentication verification, to optimize usability and convenience, and to facilitate wider adoption of wireless charging.

In 2024, Maxic will launch more wireless charging products, utilizing Qi 2.0 standard, to provide comprehensive wireless charging solutions to customers.
